Jill's passion for dog rescue

In October 2020, my family and I decided to foster a very pregnant homeless dog rescued by Mercer Animal Rescue (MAR). MAR transported Sally from Memphis to Chicago, and just five days after her arrival, Sally gave birth to nine beautiful puppies! We fostered this family of ten for nine weeks before adopting Sally and two of her daughters, Cappuccino and Mocha. MAR found wonderful homes for the remaining seven puppies. Sally lived with us and her daughters for a year until Mocha moved out with our older daughter to start their own family. The three dogs are always overjoyed to reunite when Mocha visits Chicago.
